Directions to the Fishbowl Maui

If your wondering how you get to the Fishbowl on Maui you may have come to the right place.

During the month of 12/2011, My partner and I spent 5 hours in the scorching heat, roaming around the Kings Highway trying to find the best snorkeling spot on Maui : THE FISHBOWL.
Unfortunately, We did not reach it. My neck is burnt to shit while I type this and my favorite hiking shoes are in the trash at Tesoro in Kahului.

We asked locals where to find the Fishbowl, nobody could lead us in the right direction. It felt like it was guarded. A tourist man and his wife were also looking for the fishbowl. He once kayaked to it, and this time was going to walk the trail but was still uncertain to its whereabouts, though he pointed to it with his finger believing it to be the only likely place; across the channel from where the coastal trail meets in the Reserve.
But his adventure was short lived because he and his wife flee'd the other direction back to their car. I think they felt the trail was too harsh. One Warning though: IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHERE YOUR GOING OUT HERE ON A SUNNY DAY, THEN YOU BEST NOT TRY UNLESS YOU COME PREPARED WITH THICK SOLES ON YOUR BOOTS, water, AND A STRAW HAT "WOOH!". The sun and heat are a treacherous one out here.
The Man pointed to the place I outlined in the Picture below, which we believe is the Fishbowl. ENJOY

The last beach we went to in search of The Fishbowl was just north of the (potential) Fishbowl, Right over the hill.We were so close! Enjoy your visit To Maui.

Aloha,

Randall
